Special Precautions & Safety
Isolation and lock-off procedure to be followed. PADLOCK must be securely in place before any guard, lid or cutting head is removed; retain control of the key.
The trapped-key interlock must be engaged before opening the cutting chamber.
Cut-resistant / chainmail gloves must be worn while removing, handling, cleaning and refitting the cutting head and blades.
Pay special attention to the gaps between the cutting blades and the mounting block to ensure no debris is visible.
Cover the control panel and motor before washdown; do not direct water at the panel, isolator or motor.
Any damaged surfaces or parts to be reported to the Team Leader / Hygiene Controller and raised on MaintMaster.

Cleaning Methods & Step-by-Step Procedures
METHOD A — WEEKLY DEEP CLEAN
  1. Isolation and lock-off procedure to be followed. PADLOCK must be securely in place; retain the key.
  2. Remove gross debris from the infeed chute, bowl and cutting chamber into a suitable waste container.
  3. Release the trapped key, open the lid and remove the cutting head and impeller assembly (cut-resistant gloves on).
  4. Carry the cutting head, blades, impeller and lid to the wash bay.
  5. Pre-rinse all parts and the machine bowl with fresh clean water, paying particular attention to undersides, ledges, the 12 cutting stations and framework.
  6. Apply Chlorfoam Plus / Holsolve detergent foam to all surfaces, ensuring even coverage.
  7. Allow a minimum of 20 minutes contact time.
  8. Scrub all surfaces, paying particular attention to the gaps between the blades and the mounting block, impeller paddles and the chute outlet.
  9. Rinse all surfaces thoroughly with fresh clean water.
  10. Visually inspect all surfaces to confirm they are clean and free from debris; re-clean if necessary.
  11. Spray-disinfect all surfaces with an Active solution; allow a minimum of 15 minutes contact time, then allow to air dry.
  12. Reassemble the cutting head, impeller and lid; engage the trapped-key interlock ready for use.
METHOD B — DAILY RINSE & SANITISE
  1. Isolation and lock-off procedure to be followed. PADLOCK must be securely in place.
  2. Remove gross debris from the chute, bowl and cutting chamber.
  3. Rinse all accessible surfaces with fresh clean water.
  4. Spray-disinfect all accessible surfaces with an Active solution; allow 15 minutes contact time.
  5. Visually inspect to ensure all surfaces are clean and free from debris. Reclean if necessary.
  6. Allow to air dry; re-engage the interlock.
