This privacy policy explains how CIC Maker ("we", "us"), operated by DaVinci Enterprise Ltd, handles information in connection with the website cicmaker.co.uk.
CIC Maker is a browser-based tool. All data you enter (equipment names, cleaning steps, chemicals, photos) is processed and stored locally in your browser — and, when you connect a data folder, written to that folder on your own computer. We do not collect, transmit, or store your CIC data on any server — with one exception you control: the optional AI Review feature described below, which sends a card's text to Anthropic only when you explicitly start it.
CIC Maker uses your browser's local storage and IndexedDB to save your settings and your Cleaning Instruction Cards (including photos) between sessions, entirely on your own device. No tracking cookies are used. No third-party analytics are installed.
The site is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) as part of its hosting service. See Netlify's Privacy Policy for details.
CIC Maker bundles all of its code locally. The libraries it uses for QR-code generation (QRious), file export (JSZip) and print layout (paged.js) are included in the page itself — they are not loaded from any third-party CDN, so no requests are made to external library providers.
CIC Maker includes an optional "AI Review" feature, available on desktop only. It is never on by default and runs only when you explicitly start it. To use it you supply your own Anthropic API key, which is stored only in your browser's local storage and is never sent to us. When you invoke AI Review, the text content of the Cleaning Instruction Card you are reviewing is sent directly from your browser to Anthropic's API (api.anthropic.com) to generate improvement suggestions. This is the only situation in which your CIC content is sent off your computer, and it happens only at your request. (Connecting a data folder writes your cards out of the browser into that folder on your own computer — still local to you, never to us.) See Anthropic's Privacy Policy for how they handle that data. If you never use AI Review, no CIC data ever leaves your browser.
Since we do not collect or store personal data, there is nothing to request access to, correct, or delete. Your CIC data lives in your browser and, if you connect one, in your own data folder — you can clear the browser copy at any time by clearing your browser's site data (local storage and IndexedDB), and the folder copy is yours to keep or delete.
